I’m excited to share that I was invited to contribute a short story to Once Upon A Happy Ending, an anthology of reimagined fairy tales! This anthology features your favorite tales retold by sixteen talented authors, some of which I’m sure you’ve heard of, like Rachel Morgan, Casey Lane, K.M. Shea, Cameron Jace and Rebecca Hamilton.
My contribution is Beastly Beauty, a retelling of the famous fairy tale, Beauty and the Beast. To tell this story, I chose a dark faery from one of my fables, A Dark Faery’s Love and placed this monstrous fae creature within the modern setting of my urban fantasy, Magic Brew. Writing this was a fascinating exploration into the shadow side of the beast and how the power of love transforms even the darkest of hearts.
